Born Claudie Fritsch on December 25, 1952 in Paris, she grew up in Tréport and in the early '70s she became a manner decorator. Drawn into the musical compass by her friends, she began telling with several nothingness, new wave and R&B bands since the early '80s. In 1983 she met Jean Michel Rivat, a composer and producer wHO had already made his list working with Joe Dassin, Michel Delpech, France Gall and Patrick Juvet among many others. In 1986 Rivat composed for her "Voyage Voyage," an highly attention-getting synth-pop number that topped the charts in many European countries and even strike number five in Britain, a remarkable feat for a French-language song.


The singer's measuredly androgynous look -- nail with a porcupine-style hairstyle -- made her one of the most colored personalities to good will the European pop scene, piece her sobriquet Desireless was reportedly divine by her voyage to India and her subsequent sake in its philosophy of acceptance and inner serenity.
